IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ BEFORE ORDERING
All firearm sales are subject to Federal Firearms License (FFL) transfer regulations and state-specific laws. Customers must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations before purchasing firearms, receivers, or other FFL-required items from Adamsonstore.com.
FFL Transfer Requirements
- All firearms must be shipped to an FFL dealer in your state of residence.
- We do NOT ship firearms to P.O. Boxes.
- All FFL orders require an adult signature upon delivery.
- Customers are responsible for ensuring that the firearm they purchase is legal in their state.
- It is the customer’s responsibility to confirm their FFL dealer will accept the transfer. If your selected FFL refuses the transfer, the return shipping cost and a restocking fee will apply.
Providing Your FFL Information
If your order includes an FFL item (pistol, rifle, shotgun, lower receiver, or frame), we must receive a valid copy of your chosen FFL’s license before shipment.
How to Provide FFL Information
- If you entered the FFL license number at checkout and we already have their information, no further action is required.
- If you provided an FFL dealer’s name or address, we will attempt to locate them in our database.
- If we do not have their license on file, you or your dealer must email a copy of the FFL to [Insert Email], referencing your order number.
📌 Tip: To avoid delays, we recommend contacting your chosen FFL dealer before placing your order and requesting they send us their FFL license.
FFL Processing & Shipping Time
- Orders containing FFL items take longer to process than standard orders.
- Once we receive and verify your FFL information, FFL orders typically ship within 1-2 business days.
- Orders are shipped only to the premise address listed on the FFL license.
🚨 Important: All FFL licenses will be validated through FFL EZ Check. The license must match exactly to avoid delays or order cancellation.
State-Specific FFL Restrictions
Certain states have additional restrictions on firearm sales and transfers. Customers must be aware of their state’s laws before ordering.
-
California:
- Only California-compliant firearms will be shipped.
- Gen 3 Glock pistols are the only Glock models allowed unless the buyer is law enforcement.
- The California DOJ requires a Firearms Shipment Verification (CL number) for every firearm transfer. Your FFL must provide this information when submitting their license.
-
Illinois, New York, and New Jersey:
- A state-issued Firearm Identification Card (FOID or FID) is required for all firearm and ammunition purchases.
- No sales of non-compliant AR/AK rifles or high-capacity magazines.
-
Connecticut & Massachusetts:
- No sales of non-compliant handguns, rifles, or magazines exceeding legal capacity limits.
-
Washington D.C. & Massachusetts:
- No firearm sales.
For a complete list of state-specific restrictions, refer to our Shipping Restrictions by State page.
Order Cancellations & Returns for FFL Items
- All firearm sales are final. We do not accept returns on firearms or serialized items.
- If an FFL item is returned because the buyer fails to pass the background check, refuses the transfer, or orders a non-compliant firearm, a 20% restocking fee and return shipping charges will apply.
- Orders cannot be canceled once shipped.
🚨 Customers are responsible for ensuring their order is legal before completing the purchase. If you have questions, consult your local FFL dealer or a legal expert.
NFA & High-Capacity Magazine Compliance
- All NFA rules apply for suppressors, short-barreled rifles, and other regulated firearms. Ensure you follow the required NFA process before ordering.
- We DO NOT ship high-capacity magazines to states with magazine capacity restrictions. We will not offer replacements or refunds for banned magazines.
- Customers ordering magazines over their state’s legal limit will have their order canceled.
Military Exemptions for Firearm Transfers
- Military personnel stationed in a state other than their legal residence may purchase firearms across state lines.
- A copy of your Military ID and PCS Orders must be provided to complete the transfer.
- Contact your receiving FFL dealer to confirm additional state-specific requirements.
